I followed a few other threads here and I found out that to use the action wizard, you have to revert to the classic interface in adobe. So I did it. But the action wizard is still something that isn't immediately intuitive.
However, you can save me some time in my research by simply replying and telling me whether the action wizard can combine pdfs and convert html to pdf. And ideally showing me how to do those things in the latest version of acrobat with the new interface removed.

Simply create an Action with a Save command and run it on your HTML files.
> combine pdfs
Not possible with just an Action. It would require using at least an Action and a script (triggered separately) to do it. The script within the Action will gather the file-paths and then other script will combine them, after the Acrobat finished.
