Can anyone tell me how to get a ruler guide to show on every page of a document, rather than having to add to every page individually. So annoying and time wasting. Can't believe that Adobe wouldn't have this basic feature in Acrobat?
I'm trying to make sure that a common item in a document is contained within exactly the same area (between the guides) on every page.

You cannot place a guide on all the pages of a document with Acrobat.
On the other hand, you can copy an element and paste it exactly at the same position on all the pages since Acrobat uses "Paste in place" by default.

I want to be respectful, as requested in the community guidelines, but how can I be polite with people who make me pay a fortune for software that lacks the minimum requirements of smartness?

The only way of doing something like that is with a script, that will add Line comments as guides in the desired intervals and set them as read-only so they can't be moved accidentally. It's not ideal, but it should work.

It used to be possible in Acrobat 7, but not since... Maybe Adobe should start paying attention to the few good things they did have in their apps.

While copy and pasting to every page is feasible for some, my 514 pages just didn't allow for that. However, I was able to set my Art Boxes in place of guidelines to fulfill the same need. Go to All Tools>Print Production>Set Page Boxes. Be sure to apply to all pages. If you don't see the red boxes on your document, then go to Preferences>Page Display and under Page Content and Information, check the box labeled "Show art, trim & bleed boxes." Not sure if these features are available in all versions of Acrobat, but they are available in Pro.
