Adding a graphic footer without text

Is there a way to add a simple graphic to the footer (no text) that doesn't simply involve copy and pasting the graphic or image to the bottom of every page in the document? 

The only options in the add footer/header involve text and page numbers. Are there advanced options I'm missing? Or is this not a functionality Acrobat has when creating and editing PDF documents?

You can use an image field, upload image to the field, then select 'Prepare form' tool right-click on the field and select "Duplicate across pages".
