Adding pages to a pdf in Acrobat Pro DC mac

I have a pdf which I need to add pages and text to. I do not have the original document so I have to edit in Acrobat. So, I need to know how to add pages from within Acrobat and I also notice that a lot of text from the pdf in Edit mode comes up as outlines and I need to know if I add font text in between outlined text or on new pages will you see the difference when the doc is printed?
