Adobe 64 bit Unified Installer - Third Party Plugins not supported in Reduced Mode

New Here ,
Nov 13, 2023 Nov 13, 2023

I would like to start using the Unified Installer so i can cater for both Adobe licensed and Adobe Reader users with one install.
However the reduced mode Adobe (not logged in) does not support Third party plugins. We have lots of users for example who use the Fileopen plugin so this means we cannot use the unified installer.

I am just wondering what others are doing in relation to this. I cannot see how many large enterprises can adopt the unified installer with this limitation. Does Adobe have plans to change this or are there any known workarounds for using third party plugins with the Adobe unified installer software in reduced mode

Hi there,

Hope you are doing well and sorry to keep you waiting.

This is a design behavior of the application, Third party plugins are not supported in Acrobat reduced mode (Running as Reader rather than Acrobat).
