Trying to resolve an issue for a user in my company:

Whenever they open Adobe DC 2015 or Adobe Acrobat 2017, after attempting to click any button the app crashes without any information.  Repairing doesn't seem to resolve the issue, can't check for updates as it crashes, and using different versions of Adobe show the same issue. Does anyone know if there is some form of compatability issue?

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described the application is crashing while using and you have tried repairing it with no success.

What is the version of the Adobe Acrobat 2017 you are using? To check the version go to help > check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described in the help page - https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792...

Also, try to turn off the protected mode (for testing Win only) go to Edit > preferences > Enhanced Security > Uncheck 'Enable protected at startup' Turn off  the protected mode and uncheck 'Enhanced Security' > Click OK and reboot the computer
Note: Please turn on the security after testing to avoid any security risk

You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Windows and try using the application there.

Also check the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-crashes-on-windows-os.html

Regards

Amal
