Hi @Ôco28691507laph

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble.

What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 23.01.2006x installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Try resetting Adobe Reader's Preferences once and reboot the machine, to reset the Preferences, please refer to the article How to reset Acrobat Preference settings to default.

Try disabling the Protected Mode once from Edit>Preferences>Security(Enhanced)>uncheck "Enable Protected mode at startup"

Note: Disabling the protected mode is only for testing purpose, please enable it back to avoid any security risk.

You may also refer to the following Adobe article and discussion Reader DC won't accept digital signature from smart card reader

HI!

- i reseted acrobat preferences.

- i desabled the protected mode

Same problem.

As for the articles, none solves my problem. Acrobat doesnt recognise the two USB smart card readers i own. I have other software installed on my pc (wich is free, by the way) that works perfectly with it. Why cant Adobe Acrobat do it?

LATEST

Hi @Ôco28691507laph

Have you updated the application to the new version 23.01.2006x?

With the new update, it is the expected behavior. We are working towards removing workflows using IE. With this release, we have made CEF as default in signing workflows and it is a step towards deprecating IE. Azure AD authentication doesn’t work with CEF and such users must use browser-based login workflows going forwards.

The help article https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/cef-based-sign-in-not-working-with-azure-ad-conditional-access.ht...  documents the workaround.

Hope this information will help.

Regards

Amal
