Adobe Acrobat crashes every time I try to drag a page from one pdf file into another. It also crashes every time I try to copy and paste a page from one file into another. This happens in a dual-monitor setup, and also when I try to drag/drop with both windows open in one monitor. Multiple uninstall/reinstall cycles have not fixed the problem. This occurs with all files; not one specific file.

Hi @ClintT13
Sorry to hear about the trouble caused.
Since you have already tried uninstalling-reinstalling the application and it did not help, try the following steps and see if that helps:
1- It could be a display driver issue. Check if you have a pending update
2- Make sure Acrobat is up to date as well.
Go to Acrobat> Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once (you must save all the work before restarting). To download the patch manually, more information about this release is here: Release Notes | Adobe Acrobat, Reader
3- If this doesn't help, then
Navigate to Acrobat>Edit>Preferences>Security (Enhanced)>disable "Protected View" and "Enhanced Security">OK>close and reopen Acrobat
Note: these changes are only for testing purposes. Once tested, please change it back to the previous setting.
Let us know the result.
Thanks,
Akanchha

In reference to steps 1 & 2, I have no pending updates and Acrobat is up to date. I attempted step 3, and I was bombarded with "An internal error occured." as soon as I clicked "Edit". I had to click 'OK' 11 times to get the error messages to clear, and the software was a brick after that. I rebooted my computer several times, and I cannot proceed past attempting to click "Edit".

Thank you for sharing the troubleshooting steps performed.
Run this cleaner tool to remove the existing installer and application’s files traces:
https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html
Download the Acrobat installer from here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html
Turn the security setting back on and check back.

I ran the cleaner from the link you provided. I then used the installer from the link you provided to reinstall Adobe Acrobat on my computer. And as soon as I tried to click "Edit" to turn back on the secority settings, I once again got an internal error message that eventually bricked the software. After closing the application and reopening iit, I used the CTRL-K hotkey to get to my preferences and turn the security settings back on. Even after doing that, all of my previous issues are still here. I cannot drag and drop pages from one pdf to another. And pdfs do not even fully load. I get blank pages that should have content, and the toolbar from the application itself has blank spots and does not fully load.

What's the exact version number of the application (You can find it out by going to Help - About Adobe Acrobat)? Not "up to date", or "latest", please. Post the exact version number.
Also, what's your OS version?

ClintT13, did you ever find a fix for this? Acrobat Pro is doing the same thing on my ThinkPad. As soon as I dry to drag pages within or out of a document (any document), the app becomes completely unresponsive. I can't mouseclick anything and can't close the program unless I end the process in task manager.

It got so bad for me that I could not even open the Adobe Acrobat software without it locking up completely. Neither Adobe support or my company's IT team could find a way to fix it, so we re-imaged my entire laptop. Now it works fine. But we never did forget exactly what the problem was that rendered the software totally inoperable.

Have you found the fix yet? My Adobe also crashes and closes when I drag a different tab.

This didn't actually end up fully working for me. When I tried to save the PDF, it crashed and removed the file completely from my folder, so I'm now using a totally different PDF Editor. I am O.V.E.R I.T. with Adobe. So frustrating for a tool that is so widely used for exactly what I'm trying to do -- create docs by adding PDFs to other PDFs to send for signatures. Thankfully there are other options that worked in like 5 mins!
