Adobe Acrobat DC PRO nearly unusable

I am using adobe to review architectural prints and the software is struggling to open PDFs. My computer is a brand new HP desktop running windows 11. Its an i5 10th generation 10500 with 32gb of ram. I have tried repairing the installation. I have read other forumn posts that are experiencing the same issues and have followed the instruction of going into the enhanced security settings and turning off certain functions. That made the start up quicker, but did not help with reviewing my pdfs. Is there a solution for the crashing program?

Hi There

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble.

Is this an issue with architectural PDFs only or with other PDF as well? Please try with a different PDF file and check.

What is the version of the Acorbat DC you are using? To check the version of the application go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 22.2.20191. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also as deecribed the application is crashing, please collect the Acrobat Crash logs https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/collect-logs-crash-freeze.html , Adobe CC logs https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-log-collector.html  and Procmon logs https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/acromonitor.html and share them via document cloud as described here https://helpx.adobe.com/document-cloud/help/sharing-pdfs.html

Regards

Exactly same problem. Acrobat has always been a pain but now it is nearly unusable. Freeze each time no matter what PDF I am opening, killing whole System (i7, 64 gb, 4080 12gb). After effects just stucking, Premiere freezes when working with audio effects. The only prog I can use is PSD! Adobe now after 20 years we been using it is a pure mess and I will never advice anybody nomore using this in a professional environment. Congrats to the team... well done, there will come competitors and swish this piece of s*** away.
