Adobe Acrobat DC Pro "An internal error occurred"

I have been using Adobe Acrobat Pro (DC) for the past two years without any issue.  Yesterday afternoon I opened up a PDF like I always would and immediatly got the error "An internal error occurred".  After clicking Ok about 10 times it finally disapears and closes the program. Nothing changed, nothing new was installed. I am running Windows 10 Pro.

I tried repairing the installation, same issue.  I ran AdobeAcroCleaner_DC2021 and AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool and reinstalled.   If I reinstall the full creative cloud suite, I get the same error.  If I just install Acrobat Pro by itself, I can open up a pdf but nothing works.  Half the menus are blank and if I click the blank space where the hambuger icon should be, I once again get the "An internal error occurred".

The only verion I got to work was the free version I downloaded from https://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/.

But I have a license for the pro version through my employer as I use many of the features the free version does not have on a daily basis.

I finally solved the problem myself.  I deleted the entire Adobe folder in C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local and C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming.

Did a fresh install of acrobat DC pro (without creative cloud) and it finally is working correctly.  It must of updated in the background yesterday and broke the installation.
