Hey,
my spouse bought Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 Student/Teacher and also ran through the legitimation process successfully. She registered the product in her Adobe Account without a problem, but Acrobat Pro 2020 is still showing her the "remaining test period" timer. We were not able to find a way to enter her serial number into the programm itself. Initially, I tought the programm would pull the serial from her Adobe Account, but seeing that it is no supscribtion but a singel lifetime licence AND the still showing remaining test period timer that seams unlikly to me now.
How are we able to activate her copy of Acrobat Pro 2020? Will there be a prompt to enter the serial number once the timer (10 days from now) runs out or is there any other way to activate?
Thank you very much in advance!
Sebastian

It sounds like they installed Acrobat DC, not Acrobat 2020... The former does not require a serial number and has a trial version. The latter does not.
You need to remove the application you installed and install the correct version, from here, for example: https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/acrobat-2020-downloads.html

Thank you for your answer.
The Programm she is using is Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 for sure, we even downloaded it from the exact page you linked.
I maybe described it wrong, it is not really a trial version. Once we installed Acrobat Pro 2020 it asked if we would like to Activate using a Serial oder using an Account. We choose Account (we did not have the serials at the time) and when she logged in using her account there was the 14 days test timer. If all else fails I will reinstall Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 and choose Activate by Serial but I can hardly belive that this is the way to go.

I see. That's strange... I think reinstalling is the solution, unless you can find some other way of entering the s/n into it.

Hi Christina,
Sorry for the trouble.
Could you please let us know the issue you are experiencing with Acrobat activation?
Do you receive any error messages?
Please share the OS version installed on your machine.
Thanks,
Meenakshi

Dear Meenakshi,
thank you for answering so quickly. I installed the program just as described and I reinstalled it again after reading that this could help.
I use a MacBook Pro macOS Big Sur Version 11.4. I installed the program that is in my profile after I registered it there. (picture attaced) The error message I get is also attached. I am a teacher and had my product registered correctly. Before I bought the program I used the free trial version and now it says in the left down corner that my licence is no longer vailable. (These information may also help.)
Whenever I open Acrobat Pro 2020, I am just able to see the document but I am not able to do anything else. Whenever I want to edit something for example, I get the "Diese Funktion ist in Ihrer aktuellen Acrobat-Lizenz nicht vorhanden."-message which translates to "This function is not availabe in your current Acrobat-licence." even tough I registered with the correct serial number when installing the program. I read a lot abaout this problem but I couldn't find an answer...
I am grateful for every help you can provide!
Best,
Christina

yeah, the programm runs fine, but I can't really tell you what did the trick...
I reinstalled with the serial number, but I still showed the remaining test timer. Once the test timer ran out, the programm continued to run fine, so it wasn't a problem after all.
But still pretty anoying programm behaviour.

You must first Uninstall and then Reinstall. Unfortunately, this will also remove all settings.
