Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 Extended Wonky

I am trying to open a PDF document using Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 Extended and getting a message the software requires a newer (subscription based) version, and my Pro 9 won't work. Adobe wants me to uninstall this software (which I paid for). I want to avoid a monthly fee to use the features Pro 9 offers. Any help most appreciated.

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it to your computer locally and then try again.

 

Also, Acrobat 9 is an old and EOL application and not compatible with new Mac and Win OS. https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/end-support-acrobat-8-reader.html
