Adobe Acrobat Pro DC - how to lock files after signing 3 out of 4 signature boxes?

I have created several forms where in I have included 4 signature boxes.

However, the 4th signature box is only required  for certain situations.

I need to have the option to lock the entire file if I only need 3 signatures (leaving the 4th and final signature box empty).

I understand that "Lock document after signing" is available but only for the last signature is being done.

How can I go about this?

Your replies are highly appreciated!

Hi there,

Sorry for the delay in response.

You can use the Adobe Sign application for this workflow.

When you add the signature field in the PDF form, uncheck the box for "Required" in the Signature box properties for one of the signature field.

In this case, the document will be locked even if it is submitted without adding signature in that particular field.

You may refer to the help document provide below to send a document for signature via Adobe Sign in Acrobat DC.

- Send documents for signature, Adobe Acrobat

Check if that works for you.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Regards,

Meenakshi
