I typically use Pro DC for work to read PDF documents. How do I disable the sidebars from opening on startup?

Hi there!

I hope you are doing well!

Are you referring to the right-hand tool pane in Acrobat Pro DC and want to hide it? See the below screenshot.

RHP.pngIf yes, then try the below steps to hide the Right-hand tool panel:

  • Go to the Acrobat's Preferences from Edit(Windows)/Acrobat(mac) > Preferences > Documents.
  • Under 'Open Settings' > select Restore last view settings when reopening documents.
  • Click OK > Restart the application.

Note: The view settings are also dependent on the initial view settings opted when a PDF file was created and varies with file to file.

You may also take help from the following article: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/how-to-permanently-close-the-tools-pane-in-adobe-acrobat-dc.html

I hope the above information helps.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.
