Is it just me or is Acrobat even buggier than usual? It has become barely usable, especially the annotation/commenting tools. It wasn't great before (random crashes, etc) but I am having a hard time even accomplishing basic tasks.

 

Come on Adobe, I am paying $16 a month or whatever for this, the least you could do is provide a functional product.

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.

 

What happens when you try to annotate the PDF file? Do you get any error message? If yes, please share the screenshot of the same for a better understanding.

 

Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check.

 

Also, make sure you have the recent version 22.1.20085 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

 

You may also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau... and see if that helps.

 

Please try to create a  new test user profile with full admin rights in Win or enable the root account in MAC and try using the application there and check.
