Adobe Acrobat Pro - Missing characters for languages in dropdown forms

Ive been trying to create an editable form with the use of Dropdown Lists, and while it looks ok in Acrobat Pro, it has problems with displaying the correct font in web browsers for special characters in the Polish language (ex. ę, ą, ć, ó, ż, etc...). The font that I am using is Arial Bold, so I know for a fact that it supports Polish special symbols.

I have checked my PDF files in both Firefox and Chrome, both show the same error, only that they display the substitute in a different way. Is there some kind of "setting" I should check in Acrobat Pro?

Thanks!

Report the issue to the developers of these PDF browser plugins. It has nothing to do with Adobe.

Ok, so another way to put the question would be - how to export such a PDF so that the text is saved as curves, but to be able to retain a dropdown list?

Not possible. Drop-downs can only contain text, not images or graphics.

You should use Helvetica instead of Arial (no one will see the difference).

Because Helvetica is part of the "Standard 14 Fonts" of the PDF.
