Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and Pro DC with Windows 10-

Since I updated to Windows 10, on my PC, I can no longer work with Adobe Acrobat Pro XI or Pro DCEvery time that I try and add text, any text, the app will not allow me and freezes up.  (It states that Adobe Acrobat Pro is no longer responding)  I am incredibly frustrated, because I have to create notes on my PDF documents for work.  I am dead in the water, without the mark-up tool (adding text and drawing boxes around particular information) in my technical documents.  Is there any way to solve this?  I am ready to trash Adobe all together.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble.  As described the application is freezing when you try to edit the PDF

Would you mind sharing the version of the Adobe Acrobat Pro DC you are using? To check the version go to Help menu > About Acrobat and make sure you have the latest version installed. Go to Help  Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

If it still doesn't work, please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described in the help page https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792...

Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive, please download it to your computer first and check again.

You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Windows or enable the root account in Mac and try using the application there and check.

Regards

Amal

Amal-

I uninstalled the Acrobat DC, from my computer. I was not able to do the things I could at least do with the XI version. I now have the Adobe XI installed, and neither of them are working properly. I could not add an annotation to a single pdf that I opened, and I tried several different ones. When it prints, it prints upside down... I can't delete linear marks I make, and I could not add a single text to any of my documents.
I used Adobe Acrobat Pro, day in & day out. Now that I am on Windows 10 (forced) none of my Adobe programs work. I am now using BlueBeam, that can even do more than the Adobe can. I have had enough headaches, business lost, and frustrations. I don't see many positive reports for the Adobe Acrobat compatibility with Windows 10, on older computers (and right now, I can't get a new computer). It is a little too late. I could have used some more help last week, when I sent an e-mail in; or on Saturday.
