Adobe Acrobat Synchronizer preventing shutdown

Explorer ,
May 15, 2019 May 15, 2019

Adobe Acrobat Synchronizer is listed in my login items on mac os (10.14.4). My computer is not shutting down at night...getting the white spinning wheel which goes all night. Apple believes it's something in my login items that is preventing the shutdown. The only thing left in my login items is Adobe Acrobat Synchronizer. Can I remove this from my login items and still have Acrobat run as expected? (All my software is up-to-date.)

Hi karend,

Apologies for the delay in response, I hope you would be able to fix it by now.

Adobe synchronizer is an application that runs in the background of the computer system and maintains the accuracy of files accessed by multiple users. It communicates between networks and a local computer station. When a user accesses a network file on a local system, Synchronizer creates a copy of that file for the user.

If the problem still persists you may refer to the similar discussion on the forum thread - How to disable AdobeResourceSynchronizer?

Let us know if you need more help.

Regards,

Amal

The solution in forum thread you linked to was an OSX update from 2011. That's not helpful.
