We have been facing the same issue with the latest update that was rolled out.
Have Adobe found the problem or resolution yet?

In "Reddit" many, many more people report about this substantial problem.
It appears that deinstallation and downgrade (or changing the PDF provider) will be the only menaingful solution.

Yes, we downgraded...
We cannot use other provider because our user depend on Adobe to "Fill and Sign" docs.
So i guess Adobe needs to fix the update ASAP...

I installed latest update of adobe again and then installed VCRedist v14 x86. Adobe opened normally.
Some guy on Reddit said installing VCRdedist v14 solves the issue with the latest update of Adobe

Hi @shelton_2170,
Thanks for reaching out. And sorry for the troubled experience.
There is a known issue with Windows users with ARM architecture, and it is recommended to update the Visual VC++ runtime: https://adobe.ly/48uR9hZ
Could you please help us with the following:
- Current version of Reader or Acrobat?
- Error message or screenshot.
- OS name and version.
- A short video of the issue would be helpful.
Diagnostic logs will be a great deal of help:

- Current version of Reader or Acrobat? - Adobe Reader DC 25.001.20982
- OS name and version. - Windows 11 24H2
- Error message or screenshot. see attached
Im not downloading any diag tools in my system, just not comfortable with that. All our devices are on Windows 11 24H2, and experienced the same issue after the update (25.001.20982), we then had to roll back to the previous version of Adobe Reader (25.001.20937) to get our users up and running again.
See @Markdwtuk perfect break down of the issue.

Hello
Yesterday's update patch to version 25.001.20982 has prevented our users opening files with Adobe Reader some many of our Win 11 laptops. They get this message onscreen whenever they try to open a PDF file:
whichever option they try you get the same error:
Reddit has reported the same issue here Acrobat Reader 25.001.20982 deployed by PDQ Connect won’t run? : r/pdq.
Looks like the only way to resolve is to uninstall and reinstall an older version. Are Adobe aware of this issue? We use PDFs a lot so would be good to get a solution, meanwhile just telling staff to use a browser to view them instead.
thanks
Mark
