Adobe Acrobat v23.6.20320.0 will not run unless you use administrator privilege

All of a sudden my desktop shortcuts quit working......Adobe Acrobat would not run unless you 'right clicked' and ran as admin. So I went to the executable file location C:/program files/adobe/acrobat dc/acrobat and tried to run it but the same thing happened - it would not run unless you ran as Admin. What happened??? This was never the way it worked. Also none of my .pdf document shortcuts on my desktop work!! PLEASE HELP!

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the delayed response.

Please update the application to the latest version 23.08.20470 from the help menu > Check for updates and reboot the computer once and see if that helps.
