I had the following Adobe Acrobat XI Pro crashing issue:
Acrobat XI Pro suddenly crashes without any error message whenever I try to drag and drop bookmarks. To be exact, it quits when I drop bookmarks.
This happens on all PDF files I tested.
This happened recently and it worked fine in the past.
Acrobat Version: Adobe Acrobat XI Version 11.0.23
OS: Windows 10 Enterprise 64bit
OS build: 19043.1766
I tried to the following and the problem still exists:
1. Repair Acrobat installation from Help menu.
2. Check for updates
3. Modify installation from Windows Apps&Features setup
4. Delete the preference folder according to one of the previous post in Adobe Support Community
Thank you for your help.
Thank you for the reply. No, that did help page did not help me much.
Also thanks to Marie Sandin for emailing me and directing me to Adobe Customer Care Team. From Adobe Cusomer Care team I learnt that Acrobat XI is not supported anymore.
The problem was eventually 'solved' by upgrading to Adobe Creative Suite App with Acrobat, of course with a price tag.
Thank you again for your help!
Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.
As you have already tried most of the troubleshooting steps with no luck, please go through the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-crashes-on-windows-os.html and see if that helps.
Note: Adobe Acrobat XI is an old and EOL application. For more information please check the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/end-of-support-acrobat-xi-reader-xi.html
