Adobe apps on PC

New Here ,
Dec 09, 2021 Dec 09, 2021

Good day, my PC is running out of storage space. I have three Adobe apps on my PC, Adobe Genuine Service, Adobe Acrobat DC and Adobe Acrobat X Std. I think Acrobat X Std is the write app I paid for. My question- if I delete these apps on my computer do I lose the abiltiy to open, read and type on an Adobe document? I'm trying to free up space in storage.

You can remove Acrobat X Standard, since you have the superior (well, at least newer...) Acrobat DC.

Also, Acrobat X is not compatible with Windows 10.

Open a PDF. Read the title bar of the window. What does it say there?

I don't know why you replied with that file name, but what I'm looking for is for YOU to read the Window title bat and TELL US what it says. Thanks.

I opened a pdf file and copied the title bar? Not sure what else to do? I clicked on pdf file details and this is what is says First aid plan.pdf

If this isn't what you need, I don't where to get what you want when looking at a saved pdf doc?

I see this:

So what I see in my title bar is "Macbeth_Cast_list.pdf - Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (32-bit)".

We're looking to know what you see, in full. Because we have no idea which app you are using for PDFs, so we can't tell you what to get rid of...

No, this is nothing to do with the save as type. I just want to know, in full, what it says in that window title bar. Look at my picture to see what I mean.

I have these apps installed on my PC. Can I delete any of these, to free up space? One of these apps lets me type on the document.Screenshot (29).png

I use to be able to edit pdf files, I deleted Adobe Acrobat Standard and now I am being asked to pay $299 for a new perpetual subscription. Remember I was able to edit my pdf files just a week ago. Now I'm being squeezed to pay for another app. I just do minor editing, I feel like I'm being ripped off. Please advise, thank you.

Perpetual [license] and subscription are not the same--you could say they are the opposite of each other. Perpetual license means you buy a version and can keep running that one version until your OS can no longer support it. Subscription is when you rent the software from month to month--but the benefit is you get continual updates for as long as your subscription is maintained. For newer versions of Acrobat, those ending in a year are perpetual licenses; DC is the subscription model.

Any chance you had a trial version of Acrobat DC? You can try to reinstall Standard X, but it may not work. The golden rule of using old software (Acrobat X or XI), is don't upgrade your OS--however, Windows can make this difficult.
