Adobe covert pdf to word online free or not?

When I do a search for an online pdf to word converter my search engine returns a link that Adobe has a converter online that's free. Great. So I converted 2 documents on the Adobe wants me to pay for a subscription. So that's illegal in Australia to suggest something is free then ask for a fee. 
is this a free service or not?

Thats what I thought my issue is that if you do a search for covert PDF to Word Adobe says this is free (an unconditional free) which is not the case as this is a trail. Very illegal in Australia I will have to report this to ACCC. thanks for the reply Randy.
