ADOBE DC SLOW - Back to the 90's

New Here ,
Jun 22, 2023 Jun 22, 2023

If I didn't pay for the service then I would not have an issue, however, ADOBE DC is now painfully slow when editing and or creating a PDF. It is literally taking 20-30 seconds to write a simple sentence. Is anyone experiencing this problem, especially after the update and new version took over? I have the best HP desktop, every other program runs at full speed without glitches.

This is so frustrating, and costing me too much time.

Please help.

Hi @Pinnacle Distribution

Sorry to hear about your frustrating experience.

Please confirm the Acrobat version that is causing trouble here. Open acrobat>help>about acrobat

Navigate to Acrobat>help>repair installation

Navigate to Acrobat>Edit>Preferences>Security (Enhanced)>disable "Protected Mode at Start-up", "Protected View" and "Enhanced Security">OK>close and reopen Acrobat

Note: these changes are only for testing purposes. Once tested, please change it back to the previous setting.

If nothing works, then.

Run this cleaner tool to remove the existing installer and application’s file traces:

https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html

Download the Acrobat installer from here:

https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html

Let us know if this helps!

Thanks,

Akanchha
