Adobe keeps changing my document size and margins

Hi

I have two documents that I need to merge, which isn't a problem. However, it's for a flip book. The second half needs to be in reverse and upside down.

I can print the Word doc into PDF in reverse order, but not upside down. It's 5.25" x 8". When I flip it in Adobe there doesn't seem to be a save option, just print to another pdf. That changes the size and moves the margins to it doesn't match the top half of the file. 

Help, please.

Before merging the documents, can you check if the second document that needs to be reversed and upside down is already in the same state?

This can ensure a smoother merger of the files without any changes being made to the final document.

Another way is to flip the required pages in the document. Then, could you try closing the document in Acrobat (not the application but the document)? This will trigger a save dialog box.

FInally got it. Save in pdf, not print to pdf after it's already been converted.

@nancip When you "print to PDF," in WOrd, you're essentially telling your computer's print driver to render the document as a PDF. This driver often has default settings for scaling, margins, and paper handling that might override your original document's precise layout. In your case, I would prepare your second half PDF by making sure you have the second half of your flip book as a separate PDF file, with pages in the correct reverse order. Open the second half PDF in Adobe Acrobat Pro. Go to "Organize Pages" Tool: In the right-hand pane, look for the "Organize Pages" tool. If you don't see it, go to Tools > Organize Pages. 

You should see your thumbnails of your pages. Select all the pages in the second half of your document. In the toolbar above the thumbnails (or by right-clicking the selected pages), you'll see rotation icons. Click the "Rotate Counterclockwise" or "Rotate Clockwise" icon twice (180 degrees) to make them upside down. Important: This rotation is applied directly to the page content and is saved when you save the PDF. Now, save the modified PDF under a different name. Go to File > Save or File > Save As to save this rotated PDF. This will permanently embed the upside-down orientation into the PDF itself, without changing margins or scaling.

When I 'print to pdf' in Word, I make certain 'print in reverse' is checked off. It comes out fine, no problems. When I flipped it in pdf I was saving to a new pdf file. I switched to just save and it seems fine.
