Hi there,

I have an Adobe Acrobat subscription but today after saving a file like I have done many times. I reopened Acrobat and it is just a blank screen. as shown below. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, updated windows, uninstalled every adobe product and file with a cleaner and without but still no matter what Adobe Acrobat looks like this when opening it. Any suggestions? I use Acrobat every day.

This is what i looks like every time I open it, whether from a file or from the acrobat exe

Ok so I did a full clean again removed creative cloud completely and now it seems to be working. Not having creative cloud installed and running seemed to have fix the issue.

Hi @William28661395wu4y ,

Is this a file that was exported to a PDF using another program (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)?

Did you installed that version of Acrobat using the Creative Cloud Desktop app?

Hi @William28661395wu4y

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

++ Adding to the discussion

What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version, please take help from the article https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/identify-product-version.html

If you are able to access the menu bar in the top, make sure you have the recent version 23.01.20174 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

Go to Acrobat preferences and try the steps as suggested below and check if that works:

Open Acrobat > go to Edit > Preferences (Ctrl+K) > General > Uncheck 'Show online storage when opening file' and 'Show online storage when saving file' > Click OK and reboot the application and check.

If it still doesn't work, please remove the application using the Acrobat cleaner tool https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html , reboot the computer once and reinstall the application using the direct link https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html and see if that works.

I did a complete uninstall of all Adobe products and used both Revo Uninstaller and Acrobat Cleaning tool to remove everything including registry files. Then reinstalled using the provided link and still same blank screen. I am able to open the settings menu from the CTRL+K buts all I can do.

I'm pretty tech savvy so I'm really at a loss to what's happening. Never been stumped like this before.
