Adobe pdf converter does not work, how do i fix this?

some programmes only have pdf converter option ... what i notice is that adobe pdf converter does not work on any programmes ... save as adobe pdf works fine but it is the othe rprogrammes thar are my problem ...

Please name the specific problem apps, and say what happens. Also what version of the app and of paid-for Acrobat. Thanks.

Thank you … it doesn’t work at all … I found this when I tried to print from ProfiCAD which I recently purchased. When I checked with the everyday programmes like word etc. the problems was the same … ‘save as adobe pdf’ is no problem by the way … but in non-windows programmes (ProfiCAD) this is not an option …

Do not get confused between PDF and Acrobat and Adobe.

PDF is a standard - even that it has been created by Adobe, it is now a standard and any company wanting to create a PDF file can do so. Adobe does not control the format any more and for sure is not responsible for the PDF file that any third party creates.

Adobe is the company creating all kinds of software and providing all kinds of services, some are for free, most, however, need you to pay for the software/service.

Acrobat is a software that Adobe created to handle PDF files. Acrobat Reader is free, other products are offered on a fee basis, either a one time fee or a subscription fee.

So the basic question is: what software do you use and how do you want to create your PDF files? A follow-up question is: What error message do you get?

If ProfiCAD is not a Windows program, is it a DOS program? They cannot use Windows printer drivers like Adobe PDF.

Word should print to PDF (though it’s not the best way to do it). What exactly happens?

ProfiCAD is a windows programme ... adobe pdf converter is all that is on offer via the programme to print to a pdf. It doesn't work. Is there a 'go to' programme is I guess what I am asking.

2. You mention “Adobe PDF converter”. What exactly do you mean by this?

3. You say “print to PDF dorsn’t work”, what exactly happens?

4. What version of Acrobat have you PAID for? If any.

ProfiCAD is a Windows program for electrical lay-outs. https://www.proficad.com/help/basic/faq.htm

They suggest printing to virtual printers for creating PDF files.

I think your question 4 was quite pertinent.

This is really crap service. 6 months ago the cheaper app worked perfectly. Now I get nothing for the more expensive app
