Adobe PDFMaker in Excel producing PDF's not matching paper size

Hi Acrobat community,

I used the Adobe ribbon to generate PDF's from Excel spreadsheets. Attached is a copy of the Adobe PDFMaker settings that show that the paper size is set to A4 (210x297mm). However, the outputted PDF's, regardless of whether the conversion range was Selection or Sheet(s), do not output at A4. Example of an output size is 355.9x503.5mm.

However, when I print the same sheet or selection with the Adobe PDF printer, the outputted PDF matches the settings of the Adobe PDF printer (see attached).

Is there a reason for the discrepancy between Adobe PDF printer and the Adobe PDFMaker? Why would the outputted PDF’s using Adobe PDFMaker not match the paper size of its settings?

Any help would be appreciated.

Kind regards,

Tim B.
