Hi,
Can anyone tell me, when using Adobe Pro, does any part of a PDF document, metadata, etc get transmitted to the Adobe Cloud platform?
Regards
Ben

Not unless you use "Send for Shared Commenting."
If you're just opening the local file and storing it on your local machine, then you should be fine.

In addition to the Document Geeks comment, you can also send it to the Clouds yourself. But that is a user-controlled option. As long as you do not do that, you are also good.

Many thanks both. Apart from proxy and network blocking, is there a way to block or remove the functionality to use the Adobe Cloud in the Adobe Pro desktop client?

Probably not. I'd ask your IT Dept.
Oh, you might use restricted computers that are not attached to your network and files go in or out via USB sticks. That guarentees a closed environment. But do ask your IT Dept.

It's also worth noting that you should uncheck "Share for review using Adobe Document Cloud."
Even still, if you tag someone in the comments, the file will get uploaded anyway.
As far as I know, there is no way to specifically block uploading of files to Document Cloud. Signing out deactivates access to the entire program, so that won't work.
