I have a user that has Adobe Pro and cannot open embedded .PDF files in a Word document nor can the user open a .PDF document on a network drive. I uninstalled Adobe Pro and installed Adobe DC and the user can now open embedded .PDF documents in Word and open .PDF documents from a network drive. Using Adobe DC is not an option as the user needs to edit the document.
I uninstalled Adobe DC and installed Adobe Pro and the issue returns. The user cannot open enbedded .PDF documents or open a .PDF from a network drive.
Any help to resolve this issue would be appricated.

Hi TMKuzma,
Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the trouble caused.
As mentioned above, the issue occurs on Adobe Pro and works fine in Adobe DC. Please confirm what you mean here, Adobe Pro and Adobe DC. Could you share the complete name of the application and version number?
Please let us know what happens when you try to open the file. Do you get any error message? If yes, could you share the screenshot of the error message?
It would be helpful if you could share the file with us so we can check.
Thanks,
Meenakshi

They are Adobe Pro and Adobe DC (reader) Where Adobe Reader will open the embedded .PDF and .PDF on the network driver where Adobe Pro will not.
The error on Adobe Pro trying to open either the embedded or network drive .PDF is:
'The program used to create this object is Acrobat. The Program is either not installed on your computer or it s not responding. To Edit this object, install Acrobat or ensure that any dialog boxes in Acorbat are closed.'
Adobe Pro is the default.
Adobe Pro will open files on the local drive without issue.
Thank you, for your help and time with this
