Attached is a screenshot of what is happening. Whenever I try to view a .pdf file, it opens, but then the program starts failing, the top of the toolbar goes missing, I am unable to do anything with it, I can't move the window, I can't close it, I have to alt-cntrl-del then force close the app.. Sometimes the toolbar comes back for a half second when I put my curser over it, but then dissappears again almost instantly. I could only find questions regarding to pushing "F8" or "F9" but this is obviously not the case. It is only Adobe Reader that it is happening to, and only started after I paid for the adobe creative all apps plan. I have uninstalled the program a half dozen times, I have uninstalled creative cloud, I have taken the adobe cleaner app and removed everything adobe from my pc, and yet every single time I re-install the adobe reader app, it does this. I use .PDF's daily, this is pathetic.

Is there a fix for this? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I am not able to open adobe acrobat on my PC. When I click the icon to open the program, I get a flash and it disappears. I desprately need this program to work today.

Hi, we have run into this in the past and never really got a good solution. Some workarounds we found for Windows were,
Reset your graphics driver by pressing cntrl + shift + windows key + b
Also try clicking in the affected window and pressing cntrl + arrow key this moves the window to another screen or to the side of the screen if you only have one monitor.
Lastly, we haven't seen the issue in Windows 11 yet. Maybe that is the answer?

Thank you for responding to my desperate "cry for help" 😉 ... I worded my problem wrong as I did not know what was wrong, therefore, couldn't describe it correctly. After spending all day on it my Acrobat Adobe Pro Desktop program (Note: my company purchased an Acrobat license via an ETLA for emplyees like myself) ... why there was no "open" button under the FILE button, the tools didn't show any images, I couldn't view my PDF when I opened (but could "preview" it when I did so inside of Outlook, for example). Finally, a smart computer friend of mine, figured it out!! ... I had conflicting versions of 32 bit AND 64 bit of the Adobe Creative Cloud (even though I only use Acrobat Adobe and Adobe Sign - documents only). The fix = removing all pieces of 64-bit from my PC and then download the single Acrobat Pro Installer for windows 32-Bit which he found here:
Download Acrobat installer for Enterprise term or VIP license (adobe.com)
And it worked like a charm! I hope this can help someone else!

Hi Amal,
What is the timeline of this fix? I'm going on 3 months unable to use a program that I paid for. I have to open it in chrome to view it, everytime I open it in adobe acrobat pro, the program fails/freezes, and I have to alt-ctrl-dlt to get out of it.
Cheers,
Adam
