Adobe Reader wont show more then 200 items in sharepoint connection?!

Hello everyone,

We are experiencing an issue with the SharePoint integration in Adobe Acrobat / Adobe Reader.
When navigating to a SharePoint document library through the built-in “Add Account” → SharePoint connector, only a portion of the folders is displayed.

Specific problem:

  • The library contains more than 200 folders

  • Adobe does not show an error message; it simply displays only the first group of folders

  • The missing folders are visible through:

    • SharePoint itself

    • Teams

    • Other applications

We are trying to determine whether this issue is caused by:

  1. Graph API paging (Microsoft Graph returns a default maximum of 200 items per request)
  2. Adobe is possibly not using pagination when retrieving folders through the SharePoint connector
  3. A bug in the Adobe SharePoint integration
  4. An undocumented limitation in Adobe’s implementation

What I cannot find:

  • Any official Adobe documentation stating that Acrobat or Reader has a 200-item limit when browsing SharePoint folders

What is known:

  • Microsoft Graph API returns 200 items by default (officially documented)

  • If an application does not follow the @odata.nextLink, it will only retrieve the first 200 items

  • There are multiple user reports online saying Adobe does not display all folders, but no official confirmation from Adobe

My questions to the community:

  • Has anyone else encountered an issue where Adobe and SharePoint only load 200 folders/files?

  • Does anyone know whether Adobe Acrobat/Reader supports pagination when accessing SharePoint libraries?

  • Is there any official Adobe source, bug report, or support case that describes this issue?

  • Has anyone found a workaround (e.g., splitting folder structures, using OneDrive Sync, or using the OneDrive connector instead of the SharePoint connector)?

Any insights or references are greatly appreciated — we are trying to determine whether this is a technical limitation, a configuration issue, or a bug.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Tariq Ahmad ,

Thank you for your response.

A bit of additional information: we have been using this connection for almost two years. People who set it up earlier don’t experience any issues, but when new users add the SharePoint connection, they encounter this 200-items bug.

We rely on this connection heavily. Do you have an idea of when this bug might be resolved?

Kind regards,
Sjors
