Hi all, recently have been having issue with the eyedropper selection while in text layer. My Adobe Aftereffect version is 22.6.0.

The problem :

While I am in the text layer, supposedly what I wanted to do is to change the text color by using the eyedropper when in the text layer > Character color panel > Eyedropper. When I tried to pick a color via eyedropper selection, it does not perform as it should have been.

Rather, when moving the cursor, you'll see the eyedropper glitches as you move around the cursor... Worst, when I tried selecting the parts of the color I want from the background, the system thinks that I am trying to move my text layer.  Eyedropper function seems to be broken.

Kindly look into this and hope this will be fix anytime soon! This is quite frustrating when the tool doesn't work as it should.

Best regards

Ros

LATEST

Thanks for writing in, Ros. Can you install the latest version of After Effects and see if the issue still persists? I am on a Mac and tested it in the latest version and I don't see the issue.

Note: You won't be able to install the 22.X version if you remove it. You can install the latest version without removing the 22.X version as a separate install.

Moving this thread from Bugs to Discussions for troubleshooting.

Thanks,
Nishu
