After document enhance unable to work on document.

I have merged some pdf files to create a 536 pages document. Due to its size (0.5GB) and being unable to perform search, I used recognize text and enhance tools (size reduced to 80MB). For a moment I was able to work on document (added 4500 comments). But now the document is almost not responisve to search request and it only can be scrolled up and down.

Potenital responder: don't ask me to restart the PC. Provide a solution to the probles as you should know (Adobe) your software throughout.

Why don't you want restarting the computer? 

A different suggestion: did you try a different computer?
