AI Assistant and Generative Summary

Contributor ,

Hi,

I have Adobe Acrobat Pro.   It lists in my "All tools" that i have AI Assistant (Full Access) and Generative Summary (Full Access) on my Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Questions

1. what is the difference between these 2 new AI tools?

2. Does that mean I do not have to purchase a separate plan at 4.99 per month

I will be meeting with others who may only have Adobe Acrobat Reader.   If someone has Reader, do they have Full Access to AI Assistant and Generative Summary for free?

thank you!

Hi @craigb36097816 ,

Adobe is providing unlimited access to AI Assistant and Generative Summary features for a limited period for users to try out the features. After this limited period is over, you will need to purchase the additional plan to continue to use AI Assistant.

Unlimited access is applicable to Reader users as well, if they have not exhausted their complimentary requests earlier.

Thanks,

Praval

Hi craigb36097816,

Thank you for reaching out.

1. Generative summary and AI Assistant are the Generative AI features provided in Acrobat. Generative summary automatically provides an outline with headings and summaries to highlight key points in the document. Whereas AI Assistant quickly gets answers to your questions based on your documents in a comprehensive and informative way. If you would like more information on these features, please refer to the following help document: https://adobe.ly/3GFvEAW

2. Could you please share the screenshot of the All Tools window where it shows full access?

If you purchased Acrobat recently and added the AI Assistant as an add-on, you do not need to pay again.

However, if you have been using Acrobat for a long time and the features have been added to the application, they are only added as a free trial. You'll receive a complimentary but limited number of Requests for the AI Assistant in Acrobat. After that, you will need to pay for the AI Assistant feature.

You may refer to the following help document for more details: https://adobe.ly/3YA5lCq

3. Acrobat Reader users will also have the free trial available. After that, they will also need to purchase a subscription to the AI Assistant.

Feel free to let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
