I'm suddenly running into an error with every file I try to export from InDesign to pdf. Regardless of the file -- existing file that's big/complex, new file with literally one sentence in a text frame, saved as indd, saved as idml -- when I export to pdf, my pdf has the following syntax issue:
General File Format Error: Key missing though required by other key
The key /LastModified must be present when key /Pieceinfo is used
The key /First must be present when key /Count is used
The whole thing started after an export failed (i.e., I got a "failed to create pdf" message). I just backed out, restarted and tried again. Now I can export pdfs but they're all perceived as corrupt b/c of the syntax error. The file preflight in InDesign shows no errors, but the files are perceived as corrupt. When I pull them up in Acrobat and check tools, preflight, I see the reported errors.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled and cleaned the registry in between but the problem remains, for files created both before and after the reinstall. I also ran a disk check but Windows 10 says everything's fine. Can someone help me figure out how to fix this?

Can you confirm the version of the software and operating system you are using.

Actually, I've just discovered that the issue must lie entirely within Acrobat and/or my machine. I tried editing a pdf -- one created months ago -- to fix a typo and when I saved it as a new version, got the
error.
I hope this gives a clue to what's going on ... I really need to get this fixed. Appreciate your help!

Hello Community,
I have exactly the same issue as described here, with InDesign 15.0.2, Acrobat Pro DC 2020.006.20034 under MacOS 10.15.3.
I also reinstalled InDesign completely, but the problem keeps on. Maybe something's wrong with the PDF-Library...
Is there any solution?

I don't see a precise solution yet.
I have same problem, but I've discovered that if I open a PDF through Creative Cloud Desktop > Acrobat:Web [Launch] then download the (same?) PDF file from the web, I am able to print (Canon iR-ADV C5840).
Non-CC applications (for example, MS Excel) can convert documents theough "Save as Adobe PDF" and print as usual.
