Jesus Christ! If Acrobat ever worked without sudden glitches for two months straight I'd have a [abuse removed by moderator] heart attack. I already found I cannot make proper pdf's from the clipboard from my (local) office Outlook. I have to use Outlook on the web to get it to work. Go figure. I also found that you can't search an Excel file and create a pdf within Acrobat, you have to (at least in Excel) "Save as PDF" from within Excel to get it to convert. Now, all of a sudden my pdf is showing up with a bunch of bold lines not in my Excel file!

That's in your Excel file. You have introduced borders, and those borders do print. Check the Excel file and if you have difficulties getting rid of the borders, you can post in a Microsoft forum for that. (We would also help here, if that is easier for you.) As a side note: Save as PDF is a Microsoft functionality. Adobe is not at all guilty of all the bad in this world.

I tried before to respond but couldn't. It is Not Excel. I am very fluent in Excel. I changed nothing with borders between successful and unsuccessful printing. I went back, deleted, and redid all of the borders and it still came up with 2/3 Bold borders in the pdf. Now I have to print-to-pdf to get a good pdf. If it were borders in Excel, the pdf would come out the same as saving to pdf. Excel does not have a history of disfunction. Acrobat does! The create pdf function within the app also will not convert a .xlsx file, even though it is listed in the file type examples in the window. The bottom line is that for the last several years and several versions, Acrobat has always had some function that does not work correctly. IE; I also cannot create from clipboard more that one page of data copied from the desktop outlook emails. Acrobat would be a much better program if Adobe focused on fixing their issues instead of blaming other programs all the time.
