alt text disappearing when converting from PPT to PDF

The decorative tags for images from within the PowerPoint stock images (icons in particular) are not carried over when converting a PPT into a PDF. We are working with updated versions of both programs (PowerPoint and Adobe Pro). Please advise.

If yes, then we'd like to confirm a couple of things from you, like:

• Was this conversion done through the Acrobat plugin in MS PowerPoint? If yes, try converting it once through the Acrobat Create PDF Tool. 
• Please install the latest patch for Acrobat and update it to the 23.001.2017x  https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html 
• The fonts used in PPT do you have those fonts locally available or installed on your system?
