Always display zoom level

New Here ,
Jul 16, 2024 Jul 16, 2024

The zoom percentage only appears immediately after I zoom in or out. It disappears immediately unless I mouse over it. I just want to display zoom level by default.

This is the latest 2024 version.

Have you tried disabling the "new experience" / "new acrobat"? I have it disabled all the time (because it is really useless and bad) and I can see the zoom level all the time.

Hi @clarisimo

Thank you for writing to us!

We are aligned with your concern but it is as designed. In case you want to see it without moving your pointer to zoom icons, you can use Ctrl/Cmd + (+/-)keys or touchPad zoom in/out. That way, it will make the percentage level visible.

Hope that helps!

Regards,

Bhawna.

Thanks for your reply, @bhawnaarora.

Changing the zoom doesn't work for what I'm doing. To me this definitely makes the program (slightly) more simplified at the expense of being much less functional. I'd love to see this restored in future updates.

No problem. There are tons of threads here about this. No one likes the new interface. But you won't hear this from Adobe, they just won't admit they made a mistake with rolling this out and want everyone to use an interface no one can work productively with.

Are you saying the little panel on the toolbar that always showed magnification percentage is gone?  I have new laptop, latest version of Acrobat Pro from Creative Cloud, switched from the "new experience" back to classic interface. Can't find it, have spent a half hour looking, used to find it in a few seconds to customize quick access with it. That has been one of my main instant info tools, I'm going to be really upset if it's gone and there's not a way to instantly see magnification, without having to click anything. It's kinda important. Please tell me I'm upset over nothing and where it is now.

ok, I was wrong. I changed to the New Experience to see if that had a constant display of zoom, couldn't find it, then went back to Classic Experience (or whatever you call it) and there it was on my menu bar. ok. Anyway, got what I need even if I don't understand how it happened, lol.
