When I open cross-document links on the same window, this message appears when we use the Previous View icon to go back to the first document:

If I navigate through documents with different windows, there is no issue.

Could you please confirm what is the root cause if this error? Is that due to the document? or Acrobat issue?

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described you are getting the above mentioned error.

 

Would you mind sharing the workflow/steps you are doing that leads you to this error message?

 

What is the version of the Adobe Acrobat? reader DC you are using? To check the version of the application go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the latest version 21.05.20048 installed. Go to Help > Check for Updates and reboot the computer once and check.
