Any tricks for reducing PDF file size (other than the obvious)?

I've used the "reduce file size" and also "Save as reduced PDF" options ona  file generated by Framemaker. I'd like to get the file even smaller, is there another tirck I could try? Maybe a setting in the Framemaker PDF options?

In Acrobat Pro you can try the PDF Optimizer.

Without seeing the PDF it's hard to make guesses. But is it image-heavy? That's where a lot of storage size can come from.
