Adobe acrobat dc crashes when fetching certificate revocation list?

Hi Gregs,
As the application crashes while fetching certificate revocation list, please try the steps mentioned here Adobe Reader DC crashes for certified PDF's by NotYours.
Check if that resolves the issue.
Also, try these steps:
-Launch the application.
-Go to Edit > Preferences > Trust Manager > Automatic Updates
- Make sure that the boxes are marked "Load trusted certificates..."
If you still get the same message the application crashes, let us know.
Also, share the version number of the Acrobat DC and the OS on which you are working.

I am getting the error using a government computer access card (never had it previously). Have done all of the settings suggested with no success and am unable to get the document digitally signed.
I am on Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 version 2020.004.30017
