Application Error unable to start

Everytime I open reader I get an Application Error unable to start (0x0000022) pressing ok the message disappears and everything is then ok. Happen with a local .pdf or a .pdf through a browser (ie or firefox).

Hi dennism79876153,

Please try "Repair Installation" under Help menu in the application.

If you still get the error message, try to uninstall the application and restart your system.

Use cleaner tool Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs to remove the application completely from the system.

Then re-install application from here:

Acrobat Reader: Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

Acrobat:  Download Pro or Standard versions of Acrobat DC, XI, or X

I've deleted the program twice and reinstalled it. Still have the same problem.

Have you tried to cleaner tool?

Could you please confirm the dot version of Adobe application and OS you are using
