attaching a pdf to an email

Can someone tell me why when i attach a pdf to an email, it becomes embedded in the email, rather than an a attachment?

This is a setting of whatever email client you're using. You should ask that in a forum for that client.
It has nothing to do with the PDF file itself, or with Adobe.
