Audio file in a PDF ? - Acrobat

New Here ,
Apr 08, 2020 Apr 08, 2020

Hello! Sorry in advance, I'm french.

I want to create a PDF that anyone can read with an audio file in it.

I downloaded Acrobat, and I managed to put the audio on it. But it only works while it's in the application. If I open the original PDF file, no audio appears on it.

How can I create a version than I can send just as a normal PDF but than anyone can read WITH the audio file on it?

Thanks in advance! 🙂

Hey there,

As per my understanding, you have created a PDF file including an Audio in it. Now when you are working with this PDF using Acrobat DC, it works fine.

However, it doesn't when open the original pdf file. Original PDF file you mean to say the one you have attached a Audio file, right?

  • So, if have created a copy of original file and attached a audio in it, so only the copied PDF is going to work.
  • If you didn't make the copy, then where do you have this original file saved?
  • Remember, a .pdf file will need a supporting software to open it. Your attached audio will only work when users will open the file within Acrobat DC, Acrobat Reader DC or web (with supporting pdf plugin)

There's nothing like normal PDF, You create a PDF with an Audio file, send it to others and they will be able to open it.

Take the help of this guide, to know more about how does it works https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/using/rich-media.html

Thnaks,

Bonjour
