Audio in interactive PDF not playable on iPad / Audio in interaktiver PDF auf iPad nicht abspielbar

Hello all,

I have exported an interactive PDF from InDesign which also contains MP3 audio files. In the desktop version of Acrobat everything runs smoothly, even the audios are playable. On the iPad, however, playing the audios does not work. I've already tried to add the audio file afterwards via the Multimedia button directly in Acrobat, but that doesn't work on the iPad either.

Does anyone have any advice?

ich habe eine interaktive PDF aus InDesign exportiert, die auch MP3-Audiofiles enthält. In der Desktopversion von Acrobat läuft alles rund, auch die Audios sind abspielbar. Auf dem iPad funktioniert das Abspielen der Audios allerdings nicht. Ich habe schon versucht, den Audio-File nachträglich über den Button Multimedia direkt in Acrobat hinzuzufügen, auch das funktioniert dann auf dem iPad nicht.

Weiß jemand Rat?

All PDF viewers on mobile devices are nowhere near the functionality you get on the Adobe destop applications, and that unfortunately also is true for Adobe's own solution. This means that when you design a PDF file for use on mobile devices, you have to pick a mobile PDF viewer and design for that particular application (at least when it comes to interactive features like forms or multi-media).

Tahnks. That is, there is no way to play audio files in the interactive version of the PDF on the iPad in Acrobat Reader?

I have now exported the file as ePub from InDesign - this works on the iPad. Then this is the best solution for now.
