Hello, I converted ID documents into PDF files. These documents include boxes.
I want to create forms from the PDFs with the boxes being converted into checkboxes.
I followed soem advise, for intance by creating the boxes in the ID dovcument with zapf dingbats boxes.
During the conversion process none of the boxes is convertzed into a check box, they are simpla ignore.
I could of course do it manually, however, it is up to several thousend per PDF.
Hope somebody can help me! Thanks for that!

If you use Wingdings for the check-boxes you could use this script I've developed to automatically convert them to actual fields:

You can create form elements directly in InDesign, no need for the dodgy “recognise” function.

True, as long as you don't later try to edit them in Acrobat, as that doesn't always work very well...
