Hello there,
I have to turn pages the right way around in a lot of pdf documents. I talk about 300-400 documents, each with around 10 pages. unfortunately, these pages are not all oriented in the same way. Doing all this by hand would be far too time-consuming. Luckily there is an action assistant. Via optimize pdf there is already a hidden action to automatically turn the pages the right way round, but the entire pdf is also scanned and gets optimised. Unfortunately this takes a long time too. I've turned off all other automatic enhancements that aren't necessary to turn the pages, but since the text recognition has to stay on, it still takes far too long. I don't need OCR, I just want to rotate the pages. Can somebody help me please ?

Do the pages you want to rotate have a different rotation as the other pages, or a different page size? If so, a script can be used to rotate them. If they're identical to the other pages but their content is rotated that won't be possible.

Unfortunately not. You guessed correctly. only the content is rotated. Well then I have to work with the longer lasting OCR method.
But thank you anyway.

The other option is to compose a list of the pages to rotate, then, and then supply that list to a script.
I'm not sure that will be any faster or easier to do than the original method, though.

I guess not. Well I am still happy that there is this automatically option via OCR. So I can let that run over night.

But the pages are not rotated, as they stated above, it's only the contents on them that is, so this Preflight Profile won't work on them.
