Automatically Switch to Arrow After Tool Use

New Here ,
Dec 05, 2023 Dec 05, 2023

Prior to the update, in the comments function, after a tool was used (line, text box, arrow+textbox, highlight, etc.) when you clicked out of the tool and back into the document, it automatically defaulted back to the pointer tool.

Now, with the update, the tool stays selected until you go back and hit the pointer tool. So instead of making a comment, clicking out, and resizing, moving etc the new comment type, it keeps the tool selected so you end up with multiple text boxes, circles, clouds, etc.

It seems like an easy enough thing to go back to the menu and re-select, but it has added SIGNIFICANT time to my work in Acrobat and even led me to consider other editing tools.

Any suggestions? Is there a way to default back to the arrow after use of an editing tool? Thank you for any suggestions - I'm struggling.
