New Here ,
Nov 24, 2020 Nov 24, 2020

Hi,

I had purchased AvenirLTStd-Heavy fonts and installed on my laptop.

I can use this font in word file but after save as PDF, font style get lost in PDF file. I found in PDF properties->font, original font was not embeded.

Please advise how I can embed and use AvenirLTStd-Heavy font into PDF file.

Thanks,

Pramod

You claim that you created the PDF file by using the Word Save as function, specifying PDF as the file format.

That is not the same as creating the PDF file from Word using Acrobat's Save as Adobe PDF option that requires licensing and installing Acrobat (not Reader).

Microsoft's PDF creation has a number of bugs including the inability to embed OpenType CFF fonts … which I suspect is the format of the AvenirLTStd-Heavy fonts you licensed.

I've moved this from the Using the Community forum (which is the forum for issues using the forums) to the Acrobat forum so that proper help can be offered.

Hi  Dov Isaacs,
Thanks for your response.

Is there any API availble in Adobe to conver word document into PDF having these fonts?

I tried Adobe document services using C# .NET core to convert word into PDF but didn't get success to embed AvenirLTStd font in PDF.

Thanks,

Pramod
